In 2016 I teamed up with Sasank Reddy (product manager) to give Twitter the gift of GIF. Previously we worked together on GIF integration into the platform and we wanted to give people the ability to find GIFs in the moment that were related to what was happening in the world. We teamed up with both GiPHY and Riffsy (GIF providers) to give us an anazing catalog of GIFs from day one. We lauched GIF search in the main composer and direct messages on iOS, Android and web.
